Coursework Mark Checklist

Coursework markWhat is more important – your coursework mark or the knowledge you have gained after completing it?

Certainly, you are expected to say without any hesitation: “I do not care about my coursework marks, all that matters is the solid knowledge I have obtained!”

However, this will not be an honest answer, since every student wants to be awarded for his/her hard (or not very hard) work with a high coursework mark. So, coursework marks are more important for any of us!

Here is a checklist for you to go through and receive the highest coursework mark ever:

  • Your coursework mark is directly connected with the strength of your arguments. So, make sure that all your points are convincing and emphasized enough.
  • Your coursework mark will depend on how well you have managed to identify your target audience and draw their attention.
  • Your coursework mark will be lowered if the length or format of the paper does not meet your teacher’s requirements. So, in order to make your paper longer, expand your conclusion or introduction, add more details into your body, and involve more examples.

  • Your coursework mark will be higher than you even expect if your paper is neat and eye-friendly – with different sections, divisions and tables.
  • Your coursework mark depends on the fact whether your examiner understands your reasoning or not. So, clarity is above creativity: explain and give examples to help your teacher understand.

Your coursework mark scheme is different for each new subject, new field. But you should get the overall idea of the coursework evaluation and coursework assessment criteria.

Wish you only A’s and B’s on your course works!
